Pete Crow-Armstrong has put together a historic 2026 season, becoming only the seventh player in MLB history to record 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases. He is currently a candidate for the National League MVP award, which will be announced this Thursday at 6 p.m. CT on MLB Network.
In a 7-5 victory over the White Sox on August 17, Crow-Armstrong went 4-for-5 with two homers, a double, a walk, a stolen base, and three RBIs, securing his second consecutive 30-30 season. He hit a home run on the first pitch of the game and a walk-off blast in the 10th inning, making him the sixth player ever to hit both a leadoff and walk-off homer in one game.
On May 30, he silenced critics in a 6-1 win against the Cardinals, hitting a 114.6 mph home run and making a sliding catch with a 5% catch probability, covering 83 feet in 4.3 seconds at a sprint speed of 30.2 feet per second.
