The NFL has confirmed no disciplinary action will be taken against the Philadelphia Eagles regarding their handling of quarterback Jalen Hurts’ medical treatment for a blood clot. League officials, including Chief Medical Officer Dr.
Allen Sills, coordinated with Eagles medical staff and specialists at the Cleveland Clinic in London throughout Hurts’ care after he was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary emboli. Hurts, who played in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars on October 11, was initially treated for a calf vein issue before his condition worsened.
The NFL emphasized that medical decisions are made in collaboration with independent doctors and club personnel, with Sills set to discuss the matter further at the league’s annual fall meeting in New York. Hurts remains on injured reserve and is expected to miss the remainder of the season while undergoing treatment with blood thinners, which prohibits his participation in football activities until cleared.
