The San Francisco organization is adding Dante Pettis to their developmental unit following a Tuesday workout session that included nine total candidates. The franchise has faced heavy attrition among pass-catchers due to various health issues affecting Ricky Pearsall, Christian Kirk, De'Zhaun Stribling, Demarcus Robinson, and Mike Evans.
Pettis, who originally joined the club in the second round of the 2018 draft and recorded 467 yards alongside five scores during his inaugural campaign, subsequently spent time with the Giants, Bears, and Saints after being released in 2020. During his eight-contest stint with New Orleans last year, the thirty-year-old athlete secured nine receptions totaling 127 yards.
