Rays ace starts Game 5 on short rest with World Series survival at stake

The Tampa Bay Rays avoided a sweep in the 2026 World Series by defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 in a 12-inning marathon during Game 4. This victory forces a Game 5, where the Rays face the challenge of attempting a historic comeback after trailing the series 3-0.

Drew Rasmussen is expected to take the mound for Tampa Bay on short rest to keep the team's championship hopes alive. Meanwhile, the Brewers look to clinch the title behind starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski, who aims to secure the final win needed to end the series.
