The Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship is expanding its footprint, with organizers confirming that the 2027 tournament will be held at Hoiana Shores in Hoi An, Vietnam. This selection marks the debut of the event in the country and serves as the 18th iteration of the competition, which grants the winner a spot in the Masters.
Following that, the 2028 edition is scheduled to take place at the New South Wales course in Sydney, Australia. R&A chief executive Mark Darbon expressed enthusiasm for bringing the championship to these new locations.
Hoiana Shores, which opened in 2019, was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and features a layout situated along the coastline near the South China Sea.
