Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has been released from medical care following a collapse during a training session with the club's second team last Friday. Board member Max Eberl confirmed that the head coach suffered from meningeal irritation and will now focus on recovery and medication before returning to his role.
Kompany had previously dealt with a viral illness that kept him from certain media obligations prior to a Champions League fixture against Arsenal. Assistant coach Aaron Danks has stepped in to lead the squad in the interim, overseeing a recent victory against Freiburg.
While no specific timeline for his return has been established, the club expects him to resume full responsibilities once he receives medical clearance. Bayern Munich is currently preparing for an upcoming league match against Borussia Dortmund.
