2026 Atlanta Braves Player Review: Owen Murphy

Owen Murphy entered the major leagues with the Atlanta Braves during the 2026 season following an accelerated promotion prompted by pitching injuries. Drafted sixteenth overall in 2022 out of Riverside, Illinois, the right-hander experienced a delayed minor league progression due to Tommy John surgery performed in June 2024.

Despite initial expectations pointing toward a 2027 arrival, Murphy made his debut on July 6 against the Mets, struggling in the tenth inning before experiencing mixed results across five total appearances and twelve innings.
