The Baltimore Ravens have acquired center Cam Jurgens in a trade, but his first action for the team will likely be delayed until Week 6. Jurgens is currently recovering from a concussion and remains in the team’s concussion protocol, according to head coach Jesse Minter.
While he progresses through the necessary evaluations, Jurgens will also be integrating into Baltimore’s new offensive system, a process Minter believes will be smoother thanks to Jurgens’ prior experience working with multiple offensive coordinators in Philadelphia. The Ravens’ starting center spot for the upcoming Week 5 matchup against the Falcons will be filled by Vega Ioane, with Jurgens expected to take over once cleared.
Ioane, who has started at center since Week 4, would then shift back to his original position at right guard once Jurgens enters the lineup.
