Raptors 148, Knicks 98: Scenes from Kawhi’s return

The Toronto Raptors defeated the New York Knicks 148-98 in a preseason matchup at Scotiabank Arena, marking Kawhi Leonard's first appearance of the season. Mike Brown opted to rest his starting five, fielding Jose Alvarado, Miles McBride, Bruce Brown, Mohamed Diawara, and James Wiseman instead, while Mikal Bridges remained active despite the bench-heavy approach.

The visitors struggled offensively, with James Wiseman initially recording zero points in the first quarter before finishing the game with a team-high 18 points and 10 rebounds. Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting at halftime, helping Toronto establish a commanding 42-22 lead that widened significantly in the second half as the Knicks' defense faltered.
