Mumbai reached 247 for six on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy Group D match against Railways. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Sarfaraz Khan both contributed half-centuries to the total, but Railways fought back late in the day to claim three crucial wickets.
Himanshu Sangwan led the bowling attack with three dismissals, while Adarsh Singh added two more to keep the visitors in check before stumps. Siddhesh Lad also fell to Sangwan just before the close of play, leaving Akash Anand and Shams Mulani to navigate the final moments.
