Ranji Trophy 2026-27: Bengal announces squad; Easwaran named captain, Shami included

Abhimanyu Easwaran has been appointed to captain the Bengal squad for their opening Ranji Trophy match against Delhi, scheduled for October 11 to 14. The team, which reached the semifinals last season, features Mohammed Shami among its selected players for the upcoming campaign.

The tournament structure includes a first leg running from October 11 through November 5, followed by a second leg starting January 17, with the knockout phase set to commence on February 9. The match will take place at the Bengal Cricket Academy ground in Kalyani.
