The Washington Commanders made two additions to their practice squad this week, signing linebacker T.J. Maguranyanga and safety Darren Hall.
Maguranyanga had previously been part of the team’s International Pathways Program but was moved to the practice squad after the Commanders used their exemption for defensive tackle Jeffrey M’ba. Meanwhile, the team also brought in wide receiver Nick DeGennaro, though that move remains unofficial pending roster adjustments.
On the quarterback front, the Commanders worked out former Carolina Panthers signal-caller Jack Plummer, who earned UFL MVP honors with the Storm. While the team is not planning to sign Plummer immediately, he remains an option if needed later in the season.
The Commanders also continue to monitor Marcus Mariota’s recovery from a reinjured MCL, though he is not yet headed to injured reserve. The team’s bye in Week 7 provides additional time for Mariota’s return without requiring an IR designation.
