Giants sign QB Jake Haener to their 53-man roster, per report

The New York Giants have promoted quarterback Jake Haener to their active roster, filling the vacancy created by the departure of Braxton Berrios. Haener, a 27-year-old former Saints draft choice who previously served as a starter in New Orleans, earned this opportunity following a strong showing during the preseason.

He is expected to serve as the primary backup while J.J. McCarthy continues his development.
