The Seattle Seahawks have bolstered their offensive line by acquiring veteran guard Quenton Nelson from the Indianapolis Colts. In exchange for the eight-time Pro Bowler, Seattle sent a third-round selection and a future fifth-round pick to Indianapolis, while also assuming the remaining $9.78 million of the player's contract.
The move comes as the Seahawks look to improve protection for Sam Darnold, who has faced significant pressure throughout the current season. Indianapolis, currently holding a 2-5 record, is shifting toward a rebuilding phase following the departure of former general manager Chris Ballard.
Interim general manager Ed Dodds facilitated the deal, leveraging his past professional history with Seattle's front office to finalize the transaction.
