The Purdue coaching staff secured an important local pledge for the future when quarterback Oscar Sloan made his choice official on Tuesday. The standout from Center Grove posted his decision online to confirm he would remain in his home state, following multiple previous trips to campus including the recent matchup against Notre Dame.
Standing six-foot-four and weighing 195 pounds, the three-star recruit holds a spot at number 536 within national industry metrics. Through his first half-dozen contests this autumn, he has connected on over sixty-three percent of his throws for 759 yards, accompanied by six scoring tosses and a single interception.
Prior to this campaign, during his initial year as the primary starter as a sophomore, he amassed 1,689 passing yards along with thirteen touchdowns and seven picks. Head coach Barry Odom and his assistants have previously secured quarterback commitments from Jackie Ryder for the 2027 cycle and Corin Berry for 2026.
