PFF is wrong about more than just Caleb Williams

Caleb Williams guided the Chicago Bears to a dominant 59-37 road victory against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 of the 2026 campaign. Chicago set a franchise scoring record for an opening game, racking up 552 total yards while Williams generated four touchdowns and 334 yards.

Despite the Bears posting an NFL-best 59 points, Pro Football Focus placed Williams 20th among all quarterbacks for the week. The low evaluation provoked broad pushback from observers and former lead analyst Sam Monson, prompting Cris Collinsworth to address the grading dispute publicly while acknowledging the frustration among supporters.
