The New England Patriots welcomed back starting cornerback Carlton Davis III to Tuesday’s practice after a six-day absence due to a neck injury, marking his first return since missing two consecutive games. Davis, a key defensive presence, had been sidelined since the team’s September matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers but played all 59 defensive snaps the following week against the Buffalo Bills.
Meanwhile, the Patriots’ offensive line faces continued challenges with left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker and right guard Ben Brown still out due to hamstring and knee injuries, respectively, while defensive tackle Joshua Farmer remains sidelined for personal reasons. On the Bears’ side, running back Kyle Monangai, linebacker T.J.
Edwards, and linebacker Jack Sanborn are also listed as non-participants, with Edwards and Sanborn dealing with hamstring and concussion issues, respectively. The Patriots’ secondary saw limited participation from rookie corners Channing Canada and Karon Prunty, both recovering from hamstring injuries, while veteran cornerback Karon Prunty and wide receiver A.J.
Brown also worked through their own ailments. New England’s offensive line depth was tested further as Morgan Moses, the right tackle, managed a foot injury while returning from an ankle issue that cut short his playing time last week.
The Bears’ offensive line also saw Jonah Jackson practice with hip and quadricep concerns, though the unit held strong in the team’s recent 26-19 victory over the Patriots, allowing no sacks or penalties in the second half with Caleb Lomu, Matt Pryor, and Walter Rouse stepping in for Moses.
