Pat McAfee Tries to Make Amends With Utah as ESPN GameDay Colleagues Hint at Potential Return

Following a tense visit to Salt Lake City where the University of Utah shared a video mocking him, Pat McAfee has seemingly mended fences with the program. During a recent broadcast, the analyst highlighted the Utes as his sleeper pick for the College Football Playoff, while also offering praise for head coach Morgan Scalley and quarterback Devon Dampier.

This shift in tone follows a formal apology from the university regarding the social media post that had previously left the broadcaster feeling unwelcome. Dampier recently led the team to a 21-13 win over the Houston Cougars, contributing 150 rushing yards and two scores to overcome a 10-point deficit in front of 51,864 fans.
