The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket Australia have launched an umpire exchange program, swapping officials for their upcoming 2026–27 domestic seasons. Indian umpire Parashar Joshi will travel to Australia to officiate two Sheffield Shield matches and one One Day Cup fixture, including games between New South Wales and Queensland at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) from November 11–25.
Meanwhile, Australian umpire Ben Treloar will head to India for two Ranji Trophy matches, beginning with Delhi’s clash against Gujarat at Palam B Ground from October 18–21, followed by Mumbai’s game against Haryana from October 26–29. Both officials bring extensive experience: Treloar has umpired 30 first-class matches, 20 List A games, and 39 Big Bash League fixtures, while Joshi has overseen 19 first-class matches, 32 List A contests, and 40 Test matches internationally.
Off the field, Joshi is also known for his musical pursuits, having participated in *Indian Idol* before focusing on cricket. The exchange aims to foster cross-border experience for match officials in domestic cricket.
