The Green Bay Packers evaluated defensive tackle Mazi Smith on Monday and decided to add him to their practice squad, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. Smith was the 26th overall selection in the 2023 draft by the Dallas Cowboys and spent two and a half seasons with Dallas before being dealt to the New York Jets as part of the Quinnen Williams trade.
He appeared in three games for the Jets last season and logged a single snap‑heavy appearance for the Miami Dolphins this year, recording no statistics. Over his career, Smith has participated in 43 games and started 20 of them.
