The NFL has adjusted the television schedule for an upcoming rivalry matchup in Week 5, moving the contest between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears from a late afternoon broadcast to an early afternoon kickoff at 12:00 Noon Central Time. Originally positioned as the network highlight of the afternoon, the game was downgraded due to the Packers stumbling to a one-and-two record and the Bears missing starting quarterback Caleb Williams as he recovers from a hamstring strain.
With the scheduling shift, FOX will instead broadcast a San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks game to a national television audience. The adjustment also affects the debut of the Packers new alternative uniforms, which will now receive a smaller viewing audience at Lambeau Field.
Meanwhile, the Bears will still debut their own alternate jerseys during the holiday rematch on Christmas Day at Soldier Field.
