Oregon Ducks stays put in US LBM Coaches Poll after comeback win

The Oregon Ducks held their ground in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll after securing a hard-fought 17-14 victory over Nebraska in Eugene on Saturday night. The win marked their fourth victory of the season, improving their record to 4-2 and keeping their slim playoff hopes alive despite a challenging start.

With starting quarterback Dante Moore sidelined, head coach Dan Lanning turned to veteran Brock Thomas to lead the offense, a decision that paid off as Thomas guided the Ducks to a late-game comeback. The victory came after a season of quarterback uncertainty, with backup Dylan Raiola also seeing limited playing time and reportedly being benched in favor of Thomas for the Nebraska game.

The Ducks’ offensive struggles have raised questions about Lanning’s handling of the quarterback situation, but the team’s resilience in Eugene demonstrated their ability to overcome adversity in a critical matchup.
