Three Things To Know About Oregon Ducks Quarterback Brock Thomas

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning has confirmed that senior quarterback Dante Moore is unavailable for the upcoming matchup against Nebraska, leaving the Ducks' starting position in question following junior Dylan Raiola's three turnovers in a 17-15 home defeat to No. 12 UCLA.

Lanning indicated that the quarterback competition remains an open weekly battle, with evaluations to be conducted after practice to determine who will take the reins.

Fifth-year senior Brock Thomas emerges as a key contender, bringing three seasons of experience with the program and a deeper familiarity with the offensive line than his younger counterpart. Thomas, who utilized his redshirt year in 2025 to appear in six games including a 56-10 victory over Rutgers, recently delivered a solid fourth-quarter performance against UCLA, completing 11 of 15 passes for 156 yards and one touchdown.
