Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams returned from a hamstring injury in Week 2 and made an immediate impact in his first game back, leading a 10-play, 67-yard drive that culminated in a 14-yard touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland. Williams showcased his mobility and accuracy, evading pressure before delivering a precise throw to Loveland in tight coverage.
The drive also featured a creative hook-and-ladder trick play, with Williams initially targeting Rome Odunze before Odunze lateraled to Roschon Johnson for a 14-yard gain. Johnson, who had been minimally involved in the offense this season, saw increased action on the opening drive, including two rushing attempts for 17 yards.
Despite a delay-of-game penalty, Williams’ performance suggested he is fully recovered and ready to contribute significantly to the Bears’ offense moving forward.
