After missing out on a spot for the 2018 Asian Games by a single point, trap shooter Ahvar Rizvi faced a major roadblock when the double trap discipline was dropped from global competitions. The junior world champion from 2018 endured a difficult period adjusting to the changes, stepped away from the sport temporarily, and even borrowed a firearm from teammate Lakshya Sheoran to keep going.
Having successfully navigated those setbacks, Rizvi has finally earned his maiden selection to the continental multi-sport event and is getting ready to compete in the trap category at Nagoya.
