A decade ago, Lance Stroll secured his final victory before transitioning to Formula 1, winning the third race of a season-ending triple-header at the Hockenheimring. Just two weeks before his 18th birthday, the Canadian had already been announced as Williams’ driver for the following year, following his European Formula 3 championship win earlier in the season.
Starting from fourth on the grid—behind Joel Eriksson, Jake Hughes, and Callum Ilott—Stroll dominated the race, adding to his back-to-back wins in the final weekend of the campaign. The grid also featured several future F1 stars, including Nikita Mazepin (10th), Zhou Guanyu (13th), and George Russell (15th), alongside Anthoine Hubert, who would later tragically lose his life in a 2019 Formula 2 crash, starting seventh that day.
