Cowboys cornerback Joey Porter Jr. returned to full practice Thursday, signaling his readiness to play a key role in Sunday’s matchup against the Packers.
Porter, who joined the Cowboys after leaving the Steelers due to contract uncertainty, made his team debut in Week 4 but missed Week 5 with an illness that sidelined him before kickoff. His ankle injury from the Week 4 win over the Texans had previously limited him in Wednesday’s session, but Thursday’s participation suggests he’s fully recovered and available for the upcoming game.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ injury report saw linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and cornerback Ameer Speed return to limited work after sitting out Wednesday, while Von Miller resumed full practice following a rest day. Cornerbacks Cobie Durant and Shavon Revel Jr., along with offensive tackle Drew Shelton and left guard Tyler Smith, remain out due to hamstring and other injuries, though safety Alijah Clark and outside linebacker James Houston were active in full practice again.
