NYC couple names newborn son Knickson Fyve after Knicks’ unforgettable NBA Finals run

Superfan parents Yvonne Gonzalez-Bradford and Vance Bradford celebrated their newborn son, Knickson Fyve Bradford, born on August 8, 2026, following the New York basketball franchise's first championship in 53 years after defeating the San Antonio Spurs. The baby's moniker was inspired by celebratory neighborhood chants heard outside their Long Island City high-rise apartment and a nod to the late grandmother Sydell Johnson, who served as the team scorekeeper during their previous title run in 1973.

The infant has since attracted widespread attention online, drawing social media traction and a repost from prominent supporter Spike Lee.
