NFL fines Jaquan Brisker, two others for illegal Week 8 hits that placed opponents in concussion protocol
The NFL issued 31 fines following Week 8, marking one of the highest totals this season. Three defensive players, Jaquan Brisker, DeMarvion Overshown, and Jeremy Chinn, received penalties for hits that forced opponents into concussion protocol and sidelined them for the following week.
Brisker was fined $17,911 for a hit on Deshaun Watson, while Overshown faces a $9,528 penalty for a helmet-to-helmet collision with Bam Knight. Chinn was also penalized for forcible contact against Garrett Wilson.
