Oklahoma State quarterback Drew Mestemaker made history this weekend, breaking the school record for consecutive 300-yard passing games held by Mason Rudolph. The redshirt sophomore threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing and catching a touchdown in the same game, becoming just the fifth FBS player to accomplish that feat.
His performance extended his streak to eight straight games with at least 300 passing yards, surpassing Rudolph’s previous mark of seven games across two seasons. The milestone earned praise from NFL draft analysts, who now consider Mestemaker the top prospect for the 2027 draft after his standout season, including a Big 12 single-season record for consecutive high-yardage games with multiple touchdowns.
Before joining Oklahoma State, Mestemaker led the FBS in passing yards at North Texas in 2025 and won the Burlsworth Trophy, further solidifying his reputation as a dual-threat quarterback with elite arm talent and mobility.
