Netflix is reportedly exploring a partnership with Fox One that could integrate the network's linear broadcasts, including Sunday NFL games, directly into the streaming platform. This potential arrangement, as noted by industry reports, may mirror a previous agreement Netflix established with the French network TF1 to provide live broadcast access to subscribers.
The move comes as Netflix seeks to increase user engagement and time spent on its platform, following a period of internal executive changes and significant workforce reductions. While the streamer has already committed to a five-game NFL slate this season at a reported cost of 500 million dollars, it is looking for ways to sustain viewer interest beyond limited event programming.
