The Miami Dolphins have made a pair of roster moves that signal a shift in their defensive strategy. After spending the past two seasons recovering from a serious knee injury suffered in early 2025, cornerback Storm Duck was released from the team’s physically unable to perform list.
Duck, who joined Miami as an undrafted free agent in 2024, played 14 games as a rookie, recording 35 tackles and four pass breakups before his injury limited him to just two appearances last season. His departure comes as the Dolphins also addressed their kicking situation, signing Zane Gonzalez while releasing incumbent Riley Patterson.
Additionally, the team waived edge rusher Andre Jones Jr. and promoted rookie Rodney McGraw from the practice squad to the active roster, further reshaping their defensive lineup under new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan.
