Preview: Montreal Canadiens vs San Jose Sharks — Oct 20

The NHL season’s early momentum continues as the Montreal Canadiens welcome the San Jose Sharks to Bell Centre on Tuesday, October 20, with the puck dropping at 11:00 PM UTC. The Canadiens, riding a strong 48-24-10 record this season, look to build on their recent form, while the Sharks—currently at 39-35-8—bring a more inconsistent campaign to the table.

Both teams enter the match with high stakes, though Montreal’s offensive firepower and defensive stability have been key differentiators early on. The Sharks, meanwhile, will be testing their resilience after a slower start to the year.

With the league’s top contenders already shaping up, this clash promises to be a test of consistency and adaptability for both squads.
