NDSU Coach Tim Polasek Gets Honest on Wyoming Rivalry

Ahead of the upcoming weekend matchup featuring North Dakota State and Wyoming, Bison head coach Tim Polasek discussed the nascent stages of their newly established rivalry and the Battle of the Basins traveling trophy. While acknowledging that the two regional opponents are separated by a mere sixty-five miles of South Dakota border, Polasek noted that the series does not yet match the historical depth of NDSU's former century-old rivalry with South Dakota State.

The transition to the Football Bowl Subdivision and the Mountain West Conference brings together two neighboring state programs with extensive coaching ties, highlighted by the legacy of former coach Craig Bohl and current staff members like Jay Sawvel who previously worked together in Laramie.
