Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay announced Wednesday that defensive end Myles Garrett and tight end Terrance Ferguson will not begin their 21-day practice windows this week. Consequently, both players will remain on injured reserve for the upcoming Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Garrett, a former Defensive Player of the Year, has been out since the team's first trip to Australia due to knee surgery. While Ian Rapoport had previously suggested a return this week, McVay emphasized that the team is not rushing the recovery process.
Garrett is now eligible to return after missing four games, including a Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills, and could potentially play in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders. His partner, Chloe Kim, also expressed optimism regarding his rehabilitation progress.
