The Los Angeles Rams’ season has taken another blow with no timeline for the return of star defensive end Myles Garrett, who remains sidelined after arthroscopic knee surgery. Garrett, acquired as a high-profile offseason addition, has been out since Week 1 following a dismal 27-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, where he logged 40 snaps without a single tackle.
Despite being eligible to return after the Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Rams have yet to activate him, meaning the 21-day window to evaluate his readiness has not yet begun. This means Garrett will miss at least the Week 7 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, compounding the Rams’ defensive struggles as they navigate a string of injuries to key players.
The Rams’ defense has suffered further setbacks beyond Garrett’s absence, with nose tackle Poona Ford out for the season after a triceps rupture and linebacker Kobie Turner expected to miss 4-6 weeks due to a groin injury. The offense also faces a major loss with wide receiver Davante Adams sidelined for 6-10 weeks after a hamstring injury.
With Garrett’s return still uncertain and multiple other starters on the shelf, the Rams are scrambling to plug holes in a roster already battered by a Week 6 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals.
