Mountaintop View 10-14-26: NCAA eligibility, Sawvel gets reprimand, plus more

Wyoming head coach Jay Sawvel has been publicly reprimanded by the Mountain West conference following his harsh criticism of a late-game holding penalty against San Jose State. In other developments, Ohio has unilaterally cleared its athletes for participation, putting pressure on the Pac-12 and Mountain West to address their own ongoing eligibility disputes.

Meanwhile, Nevada has secured a commitment from recruit Barry Myles. Additionally, the University of New Mexico has announced its 2026 Hall of Honor inductees, including Dana Chancellor, Jeremy Fishbein, Matt Gonzales, Alice Wright, and Steve Ciepiela, who will be celebrated during mid-November festivities.
