Modric 'ashamed' of Croatia's 'catastrophic night'

Croatia veteran Luka Modric voiced deep embarrassment following a severe seven-goal home thrashing by England in the Nations League. The veteran midfielder conceded that his side completely lacked aggressiveness and unity during the dismal encounter.

The fixture marked a steep decline for the squad under returning manager Slaven Bilic, following earlier mixed results against the Czech Republic and Spain. Despite the heavy reverse, Modric urged his teammates to regroup quickly ahead of their upcoming fixture against Spain.
