MLB wild card series schedule: Yankees vs Red Sox game times revealed

The opening round of the Major League Baseball postseason is set to begin on Tuesday, September 29, featuring a best-of-three wild card format across both leagues. The New York Yankees will host the Boston Red Sox for the second consecutive year in the Bronx, while the Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres also host matchups in their respective brackets.

Winner-take-all third games are scheduled for Thursday if necessary, with the victorious teams advancing to face division winners in the Division Series beginning Saturday, October 3. Since the postseason expansion in 2022, two teams have successfully captured the World Series title after competing through the wild card round.
