MLB Championship Series 2026 discussion thread: Day 1

The 2026 MLB postseason kicks off with the National League Championship Series, where the top two teams in the regular season will battle for a spot in the World Series. The Milwaukee Brewers, aiming for their first-ever World Series title, will host the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are chasing a historic three-peat.

The Brewers will rely on their young ace, Jacob Misiorowski, who has been dominant with a 1.80 ERA this season, while the Dodgers will turn to left-handed pitcher Tarik Skubal, a recent trade acquisition and top free-agent target, boasting a 2.72 ERA. Game 1 of the NLCS tips off at 6:00 PM MDT, with the Brewers looking to keep their offense in check against the Dodgers' formidable lineup.

The matchup sets the stage for what promises to be a tightly contested series between two of baseball’s best teams.
