Mike Tomlin's 'Minecraft' city is going viral — and at least one former Steelers player is incredulous

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has captured massive online attention after sharing a YouTube video showcasing an enormous virtual metropolis he spent more than a decade building within the sandbox game Minecraft. The project, highlighted by a nineteen-minute tour titled Rooftops, Penthouses, and Urban Living, quickly amassed millions of views across digital platforms and prompted lighthearted astonishment from former players.

Among those reacting was former running back Le'Veon Bell, who expressed mock disbelief on social media that his former coach managed to construct entire digital municipalities while they were actively chasing championships together. Tomlin explained that playing the video game served as a therapeutic outlet to disconnect from the relentless pressures of professional coaching, noting that he began his virtual construction hobby back in 2014 after watching his sons play.
