Former football coach Mike Tomlin recently shared a surprising twelve-year personal project with the public, revealing that he has spent over a decade constructing a massive digital metropolis within the sandbox video game Minecraft. During a segment on the Today show earlier in the month, the longtime mentor explained that he originally downloaded the application to bond with his children during their middle school years.
Even after his kids outgrew the hobby, Tomlin continued expanding his virtual landscape as a therapeutic outlet to unwind from the daily pressures of his professional career. In a newly released social media video titled Rooftops, Penthouses, and Urban Living, the creator offered viewers an aerial tour of his digital settlement.
The customized metropolis features an initial boutique hotel complete with an underground speakeasy, alongside high-rise residential structures boasting multi-level aquatic tanks integrated into the apartment walls. Tomlin also highlighted his meticulous attention to rooftop architecture, showcasing outdoor entertainment patios linked directly to upper-floor cinematic rooms.
