Michael Hussey’s future in doubt as CSK eyes new batting coach

Chennai Super Kings are moving forward with Zaheer Khan at the helm as head coach for the Indian Premier League 2027 season. As part of this transition, the franchise is evaluating its support staff, which casts uncertainty over Michael Hussey remaining in his position as batting coach.

Zaheer Khan is currently considering three to four alternative candidates for the batting coach role ahead of the upcoming campaign. Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin has previously been honored with a dedicated stand named after him at Chepauk.
