Michael Carrick reaction: How did Manchester United boss explain wild draw with Aston Villa?
Follow
Manchester United struggled defensively during Sunday's fixture against Aston Villa, ultimately finishing with a 4-4 stalemate after erasing two separate multi-goal advantages. Goalkeeper Senne Lammens struggled early, while a subsequent penalty conceded by Diogo Dalot compounded the team's difficulties under manager Michael Carrick.
The result keeps the squad mired near the relegation zone ahead of the international break, following closely behind a dramatic European victory over AS Roma earlier in the week.
