Green Bay is expanding its blocking depth following a recent defeat against Atlanta, having brought in an additional lineman early in the week. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that the franchise evaluated Mekhi Becton during a Monday morning session, with a subsequent update confirming an agreement has been reached.
Becton previously joined the Chargers on a two-year contract as a free agent in 2025 before being let go in March, having started fourteen contests throughout that tenure. Prior to that stint, he earned a championship ring as the primary right guard for the Eagles during their title run.
His professional career began after the Jets selected him in the opening round of the 2020 draft, where he remained for four seasons despite losing nearly two full years to physical setbacks and spending time at tackle.
