The Los Angeles Lakers received encouraging news on Thursday as forward Ziaire Williams returned to full practice after missing the past three preseason games due to swelling in his left foot. Williams, who started the team’s lone preseason contest on October 5 against the Sacramento Kings, participated in all drills and appeared optimistic about his readiness for Friday’s preseason finale against the Denver Nuggets.
His return adds depth to the Lakers’ frontcourt competition, where two roster spots remain open alongside confirmed starters Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves, and Walker Kessler. Meanwhile, Dončić also took part in Thursday’s practice after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Golden State Warriors, signaling his full health ahead of the upcoming season.
Guard Collin Sexton, who has yet to play in a preseason game, joined practice but did not participate in the live scrimmage, with coach J.J. Redick noting his progress toward the October 21 regular-season opener against the Warriors in Los Angeles.
Second-year forward Adou Thiero was a partial participant, while rookie Cameron Carr was absent from practice.
