LIV Exodus Continues as Another Major Champ Rejects LIV 2.0 and Eyes DP World Tour Return

Graeme McDowell has announced his departure from LIV Golf, opting out of the circuit's planned 2027 reboot after spending four years with the breakaway competition. The 47-year-old Northern Irishman made his exit public on Monday through a social media post, signaling his intention to seek a potential comeback on the DP World Tour.

His departure follows a similar announcement just days earlier by Tom McKibbin, marking a mounting player exodus. McDowell initially joined the tour during its 2022 launch event at Centurion Club in London and now hopes to reconnect with events closer to home, while also eyeing a possible role supporting Europe at the 2027 Ryder Cup.
