Liberty's Championship Miss Precedes Chris DeMarco Exit as WNBA Coaching Carousel Claims Another Head Coach

Following a postseason exit that cut short a promising playoff run, the New York franchise has chosen to part ways with head coach Chris DeMarco after only one year in charge. Despite guiding a talented roster featuring stars such as Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu to a twenty-six win regular season and a notable playoff upset over Minnesota, leadership opted for a change after a semifinal sweep by Atlanta.

DeMarco now joins other recent coaching departures across the league, including Lynne Roberts and Karl Smesko.
