Laurent Mekies credited with ending Red Bull's second seat "curse"

Formula 1 commentator Will Buxton suggests that team boss Laurent Mekies has managed to lift the long-standing difficulties associated with the secondary cockpit at Red Bull by fostering a more encouraging atmosphere instead of a harsh environment. The squad has previously faced difficulties securing a permanent partner for four-time title holder Max Verstappen.

Sergio Perez, who previously occupied the position before moving to Cadillac, was recently displaced from the second car.
