Last night was a disaster for the Red Sox, but at least an NBC broadcast snafu made it funny

During the opening matchup of the American League Wild Card Series, the Boston Red Sox suffered a harsh 9-0 defeat against their archrivals. While the team struggled on the diamond with numerous whiffs and a sputtering offense, viewers tuning into the Peacock broadcast were treated to an inadvertent audio glitch.

Network stock intermission music played continuously over the live game sound and announcers for a prolonged stretch lasting at least two minutes.
